Answers:

How much will my Memory Movie cost?

Your final cost depends on how many photos, titles and video clips you include as well as additional options you request. You can view Packages & Pricing for more information and also use our Movie Cost Calculator to estimate your costs.

How long will it take to complete my movie?

Once we have all your materials (photos, videos and music) and your image and chapter sequencing has been finalized, your movie will usually be completed within 7 business days. Please note that during peak Memory Movie seasons (like around High School Graduations in May & June) we fill up very fast and you should reserve your Memory Movie far in advance of your presentation date (we also have options that allow you to start now and finish later too). Also remember that usually the longest part of completing your Memory Movie, is finding and choosing the photos and videos you wish to include. Please allow yourself plenty of advance time for this process! If you need your movie sooner than normal production times, please contact us and we usually can help meet your deadline.

How do I start and how do I organize my photos?

Its easy, just fill out a simple form to reserve your place in our production queue, so you'll have your Memory Movie DVD when you want it. There's no cost or obligation to reserve your spot. After you have reserved your spot, we'll provide you with instructions and easy to use forms... but basically you'll start by selecting your favorite photos and then songs to go with them. Arrange your photos into groups around these songs as separate themes or "chapters" of your movie. Label the backs of the photos and send them to us and we do the rest.

Can I start now and add photos later (there's a last minute future event I want to include)?

Yes, you can and in many cases it is a very good idea not to wait until you have photos that you'll be taking right up to your presentation date. We can start your movie now with the photos you have and add the new photos chapters after you send the remaining photos. Please note that these new photos will need to be in a separate chapter of their own (but that chapter can be anywhere in your movie). This works well for movies such as Senior Memory videos where you want to include Prom or Graduation photos that will occur just a few weeks before you want your DVD and allows us to give you a faster turn around much closer to your requested date. We can also "re-finish" your DVD by adding a chapter after you have received your Memory Movie DVD and shown it (maybe on Graduation day for example), but want to include another chapter (maybe that day's graduation and party photos) in an expanded final Memory Movie DVD. If you want to take advantage of either of these options, contact us and we can advise you of your options, timelines and any additional costs involved.

We have movie chapter and sequence forms to help that are available online to download. Then, just fill it out and send it in with you materials.

Will you organize my photo sequences for me?

Yes, if you would like us to, we can gladly produce the movie without the need for you to sequence the images and /or selecting appropriate music. Just give us an idea of what you would like the finished product to be like and we can take it from there. This works best when there is not a strict chronological order of events required and can sometimes be preferable if you would like the finished movie to be unforeseen by even yourself!

Can I include photos which I've taken with my digital camera or photos that I have scanned in myself?

Can you change and customize the still images that I send you?

Yes, we can.. If you need us to customize an image before inclusion into your movie, just let us know and we'll let you know your options and any costs.

Where do I use titles and captions?

Typically, you will have opening title and closing credits for your movie. You will probably want titles for each "chapter" and maybe captions to be placed on certain photos.

Can I include video in my Memory Movie?

Yes. While photos should typically be the foundation of your movie, video can be used to accent parts of the production. Usually the video sound is replaced with music, but the original sound can be retained if desired.

What kind of video formats can I use in my movie?

We can use most types of video including, but not limited to VHS, C-VHS, 8MM, Hi8 and Digital8. Contact us to be sure your video format will work. We can accept 8mm projector film, but for an additional fee and film will significantly delay your Movie. Its best that your covert your selected 8mm film to video before submitting.

What if the duration of my music doesn't fit the number of photos submitted?

We will adjust the image durations and sometimes the music to fit the number of photos for a giving "chapter". Occasionally, we'll add a little additional music where needed or fade out a song before its over.

How many songs do I choose?

Usually a typical average length songs will contain around 24 or so photos and its often best to arrange your photos into groups around these songs as separate themes or "chapter" of your movie. We adjust you movie, music and photos to fit these chapters. Our Movie Cost Calculator can help you estimate the length of your movie and your song requirements. If your including your own videos, the music should roughly be as long as your clips.

Can I order additional copies of my movie?
